The School Apple Pick was an annual event at Springfield Elementary School. It was once replaced by the School Dance.

Alex Whitney thought that the apple pick was boring and suggested to change it to a dance. She and other girls eventually managed to convince Principal Skinner and Lisa to have a dance.
