Scotland (Scottish Gaelic: Alba) is a country in Europe and is part of the United Kingdom.
Groundskeeper Willie is originally from Kirkwall, Scotland and often talks about his heritage with pride.
History[]
Mr. Burns recruited Homer, Frink and Willie for a successful mission to Scotland in pursuit of the Loch Ness Monster.[1]
Willie and the Simpsons went to Scotland and meet Willie's brother, Angus. Willie competes in a competition there.[citation needed]
Scotland might have been the anonymous "Old Country" which Abe Simpson claimed to have emigrated from as a child.[2]
After encountering Willie while stealing grease from Springfield Elementary, Homer and Bart pretended to be exchange students from a fictitious "North Kilttown" in Scotland.[3]
Homer, Mr. Burns, Willie, and Professor Frink visit Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands to capture the Loch Ness Monster.[4]
When giving testimony in court, Homer claimed that his memory was "hazy". The Blue-Haired Lawyer responded with the question "Hazy like the moors of Scotland?", pointing to Willie who'd been wrongly arrested for stealing Homer's car.[5]
When Bart and Lisa become best friends after Milhouse leaves for Capital City with his mother, Willie claims it will not last as brother and sister are natural enemies.
