The Simpsons Season 14 first aired on November 3, 2002 with its first episode, "Treehouse of Horror XIII" and ended on May 18, 2003 with "Bart of War" and "Moe Baby Blues".
Season 14 was the first to use digital ink-and-paint for most of its episodes, though four episodes ("How I Spent My Strummer Vacation", "Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade", "Large Marge" and "Helter Shelter") were hold-overs from season 13 (DABF) production line.
"Treehouse of Horror XIII" (even though produced for season 13) was the first episode to use digital ink-and-paint, starting with "The Great Louse Detective" .
"Barting Over", which aired February 16, 2003, was promoted as the show's milestone 300th episode by Fox. However, "The Strong Arms of the Ma" was the 300th episode to be broadcast.
Production-wise, "How I Spent My Strummer Vacation" is also the last to use traditional cel animation. Three weeks later, "Helter Shelter" became the last traditional cel-animated episode to air.
The Simpsons Complete Season 14 was released on DVD on the following dates:
- Region 1- December 6, 2011
