Season 15 premiered on November 2, 2003 with "Treehouse of Horror XIV" and ended on May 23, 2004 with "Fraudcast News". This was the first season where all of the episodes are digitally animated, while some episodes from Season 14 were still traditionally animated.

On the cover of the DVD of the season appears Otto Mann, the school bus driver. Some Season 15 DVD box sets came in limited-edition Collector's boxes, with a 3D Otto face on the front cover.
