Synopsis[]

Homer and Bart read a bunch of gory history comics, leading them into trouble.

Full Story[]

After Bart does a presentation about how Benjamin Franklin "invented lightning, France and the odometer", he is punished by having to do a presentation with Homer. They also cannot do the guy who invented the toilet. They start off by watching cop shows, and prank calling the police among other things. Eventually, they find themselves in the Android's Dungeon, where Homer goes into the Adults Only section, to find Histronik Comics. They are comic books that "amalgamate history with bone-chilling horror". Homer buys all of them, and shows them to Bart, where they plan the presentation, based on what the books say. However, once they'd started the presentation in front of such people as Reverend Lovejoy, Ned Flanders, and Chief Wiggum, Homer is soon arrested. Comic Book Guy got arrested too for selling the comics to Homer. Both men start planning their court strategy. They nearly get arrested again because the jury didn't understand what Comic Book Guy was saying, but they did the entire thing again with a jury of geeks. However, because of their references and personal opinions about comic books, they were sentenced to public hanging - holding up a convention sign at a great height.
