The Shelbyville Abe is an unnamed old man who lives in Shelbyville.
He is like his Springfield counterpart, Abe Simpson, in many ways. He has similar face and wears similar clothes to Abe. They both also wear glasses and tell stories, even say similar sentences.
History
While Abe was speaking the story about the heroes of Springfield (Bart and his friend saving the lemon tree) to some children of Springfield sitting under the lemon tree, his Shelbyville counterpart was speaking the same story to some children of Shelbyville, but it was about the heroes of Shelbyville who "had banished the awful lemon tree forever."
At the end, he and the children celebrated with a glass of turnip juice. However, he seemed to be only one whom the juice tasted.
