During the Episode 'Beyond Blunderdome' Homer Simpson spreads multiple ideas to Mel Gibson. One of them being the Shifty-Eyed Dog. As Homer is kicked out of Mel Gibson's car, the Shifty-Eyed Dog has a 10 second appearance with him shifting his eyes and the credits rolling.
