Simpsons Wiki

This is an instruction manual that addresses the conventions adopted by Simpsons Wiki in writing, titles, articles, and linking. Please read it before you contribute to the wiki.

Article titles

The conventions for titles dictate that all proper nouns are capitalized, as are all locations, and names unless specifically not capitalized. Any page title that includes a name should not be stored in a biographical format; i.e., "Homer Simpson", not "Simpson, Homer" as the page title for Bart's dad. In cases where only a first name (e.g. Charlie) exists, that should be used as the sole title of the page.

Character articles

Character infobox

At the start of each character article should be the character infobox with a picture of the character, their gender, hair, age, job, relatives, episode they first appeared in, and their voice actor(s) (see right).

The article itself

The article should be written in Simpsons universe view, without mentioning episode names in the text. Episodes should be referenced with the <ref>[[Episode Name]]</ref> and have:

=== References ===

At the bottom of the article.

For a very minor character, a list would be fine, for a recurring character, the following is used. A list of every Ullman short, eisode, game, comic, and movie this character appeared in. e.g.
