Steven Valentine Patrick William "Steve" Allen (December 26, 1921 – October 30, 2000) was an American television personality, mostly famous for being the very first host of NBC's The Tonight Show. He appeared on The Simpsons as the "electronically altered" voice of Bart Simpson in "Separate Vocations" and guest starred as himself in "'Round Springfield". He died on October 30, 2000 at age 78.
