It would be good if there was a uptodate map of springfield showing everywhere, though it would be hard work CJC95 10:17, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

The opening paragraph cites both Hans Sprungfeld and Jebadiah Springfield as founders. Does anyone have a source favouring one or the other? Or have I missed something?--Pig HouseTalk 14:07, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I read somewhere that the motto of Springfield was "Corruptus In Extremis" (Latin for 'extreme corruption'). When was it changed? --CGW 16:25, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

That's what it says on the mayoral seal. TheUnderfaker 02:43, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Zip code

Why is Springfield's zip code (58008) not showing up within the article's template? It's clearly there in the source code. JohnnyLurg (talk) 01:29, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

This page claimed that the population of Springfield is 176,994 and refers to the episode Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge (season 13 episode 22). In that episode, however, when Fat Tony arrives to Springfield with his mafia friend they pass a sign that reads "Springfield, elev: 1582, pop: 30,720". Springfield's Wikipedia page claims that this is the population of Springfield and cites to this exact episode. I have therefore changed this page. If anyone can show me where the population is said to be 176,994 feel free to change it back. Alexandergunnar (talk) 20:49, September 28, 2014 (UTC)
