Trivia/Goofs
- In the original airing of this episode, Homer's Academy Award said Haing S. Ngor, but, when Ngor died, it was changed to Don Ameche. The second version is the one in syndication and in the Season 7 DVD boxset.
- The four members of "The Home-Wreckers" are Mindy Simmons, Lurleen Lumpkin, Princess Kashmir and Jacques, all known to have caused marital tension between Homer and Marge.
- "Marge vs. The Monorail" and "Another Simpsons Clip Show" established that Lurleen Lumpkin and Mindy Simmons fell into drug problems after their attempts at seducing Homer (Lurleen was last seen fresh from her stay at the Betty Ford Clinic, while Homer told Marge that Mindy "hit the bottle pretty hard and lost her job at the plant), yet both women are shown clean and sober, and neither of them recognize Homer.
- The Lovejoys' and Flanders' bowling team is called "Holy Rollers", which, as well as meaning "religious bowlers", is also a slang term for evangelical Christians.
- This episode is dedicated to the memory of Doris Grau, a former Simpsons script supervisor and voice actor, mainly the voice of Lunchlady Doris, who passed away.
- The members of The Pin Pals were Apu, Moe, Mr. Burns, Homer and formerly Otto.
- Barney has a girlfriend.
- Patty and Selma both have different shoes on their foots.
