"The Aquarium" is the twenty-fourth Simpsonsshort. It originally aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on February 28, 1988.
Plot[]
Homer takes Bart, Lisa, and Maggie to the aquarium. Lisa wants to see a giant squid battle a sperm whale while Bart wants to swim in the tank, brining his swim trunks with him to do so. They see a moray eel and a sea bass that resembles Homer. Lisa then notices that Bart is swimming in the tank, angering Homer.
Bart does tricks while riding a shark, impressing Lisa and Maggie but not Homer, who wants them to stop encouraging him. Homer screams when he sees Bart in the shark's mouth.
Homer, Lisa, and Maggie go to the top of the tank to wait for Bart to submerge. After a while only his trunks appear, making the three think that Bart died. Finally, Bart jumps out naked and snatches his trunks away from Homer, who angrily tells him to come back. Bart, however, goes back in the tank and says that it's safer in it than by Homer while being circled by a shark.
