The Aristocrat was a rival bar to Moe's Tavern. It is situated in a high-crime, low-income section of Springfield. Homer was furious at Moe for stealing his recipe for the Flaming Homer and elected to stop patronizing Moe's Tavern. Homer drove to the location and seemed oblivious to a man getting mugged, as well as that gunshots and police sirens were within earshot. Homer remarked that this was his "new watering hole".
Despite its elegant name, it's a run-down place with no patrons.
As Homer entered, the working barman pulled a shotgun on Homer, who asked in terror for a beer. The barman then placed some beer in a filthy glass, but when Homer protested this, the man begrudgingly cleaned it, growling "Here ya go, Your Majesty!"
