The Baby Translator is an invention made by Herb Powell.
History[]
After going bankrupt, Herb wanted to invent something that would make him rich again. While in a park, he saw a mother and her baby, which inspired him to create a device that could translate babies' cries. Since Herb had no money to launch his idea, he asked Homer for a $2000 cheque that Homer had received. After tinkering around and with the help of Maggie, Herb managed to build a working model. He demonstrated the machine using Maggie's babbling at the Baby EXPO, and earned a lot of money. As a display of gratitude towards his brother, Homer, for lending him the $2000, he forgave Homer for previously causing him to go bankrupt and gifted him the Spine Melter 2000.
