The Seventeenth Season is the title of the home video release of Season 17 of The Simpsons. It was released on December 2nd, 2014 for Region 1. It was released on December 1st, 2014 for Region 2. It was released on December 3rd, 2014 for Region 4. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray formats.
The box set comes in two varieties: a limited edition Sideshow Bob head-shaped box and a standard rectangular box with artwork prominently featuring Sideshow Bob.

Trivia
- According to showrunner Al Jean's Twitter page on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, it said that both Blu-ray and DVD releases of the show would be discontinued[1] because he was running out of characters, and neither seasons 18 nor 19 would even be released on DVD or Blu-ray despite coming close to its 20th season, but that statement was dramatically changed on July 22, 2017 (see below). Every episode of the show, however, is still availible on FXX (both the rerun blocks on every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and in the marathons) and its FXNOW mobile app and online service.
- However, during the Simpsons panel at San Diego Comic Con 2017 and on Al Jean's Twitter page on Saturday, July 22, 2017, he announced that The Complete Eighteenth Season would be released on DVD on December 5, 2017. This is a possible sign that the rest of the seasons of the show will be released on DVD.
- This is the first and only boxset to have been given a '15' rating by the BBFC in the UK. All previous boxsets in the UK were either rated 'PG' or '12'.
- This is currently the last season of The Simpsons to be released on Blu-ray.
