- The last time Homer sunk with a vehicle and rose to the surface occurred in "Dumbbell Indemnity."
- The last episode with Homer in a batting circle was "Bart the Mother."
- The last time Milhouse's eyebrows go off in a blast was in "She of Little Faith."
- This is the second episode where a message to Homer is spoken out loud by its writer. The first was "Simpson and Delilah".
- In the Couch Gag, Moe references FOX getting the 500th episode wrong, they got the 300th episode wrong too, they credited it as 'Barting Over' when in reality it was 'The Strong Arms of the Ma'.
