- The title of the short is a reference to the film The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. “The Good, the Sad and the Drugly” had the same title reference.

- One of the post-credits scenes recreates the scene from The Avengers where Ralph, as The Hulk grabs and smashes Loki.
- The last post-credits scene is a recreation of the first episode of Loki, where Ravonna Renslayer, and Hunter B-15 of the Time Variance Authority holds a trial of Loki, being guilty of among other things, disrupting the sacred timeline, crossing over to the forbidden sections of Disney+, taking two spots of the Goofy parking lot, being the most popular character, his voice actor having an English accent even though he is from Norway, making promises that are repeatedly broken, adding post-credits scenes to advance the story and telling him to wash his hair.

- This short film was released alongside the fifth episode "Journey Into Mystery" of the Disney+ original series Loki.
- The promotional poster for the short was inspired by the poster for Avengers: Endgame.
- The production team had hoped to include a cameo from Stan Lee, but were dissuaded by Marvel Studios who informed them they no longer feature Lee in cameos following his death.
- During the Springfield Avengers scene, Rainier Wolfcastle, as Giant Man, holds a sign reading "This Is What Happens When Disney Buys Marvel And Fox", in reference to the company's acquisitions of Marvel Entertainment and 21st Century Fox.
