The Happy Sailor Tattoo Parlor is a tattoo studio located inside Springfield Mall.
History[]
Attracted by the window display, Bart Simpson requested a "mother" tattoo from the tattoo artist. He only completed the letters "MOTH" before Marge discovered what was happening.
Horrified, Marge pulled Bart from the studio and took him to Dr. Zitsofsky's Dermatology Clinic two doors down from the Happy Sailor to get the ink removed. Bart's tattoo removal procedure cost the family the rest of their Christmas budget, leading to Homer getting his job as a mall Santa.[1]
Footage of TV presenter Kent Brockman receiving a tattoo at the The Happy Sailor appears in the opening of current affairs program Eye on Springfield.[2]

Behind the Laughter[]
- A real-life Happy Sailor tattoo studio exists in London, England, but does not bear any similarities to the one shown in Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.
