The Illustrated Man is a freak circus at R. Bradbury's Traveling Night Circus.
History[]
During the Simpson family's visit to R. Bradbury's Traveling Night Circus, Lisa saws the Illustrated Man in the tent and entered as the ringmaster fired him. Feeling sorry for him, Lisa inquired about the cost associated with visiting him. The Illustrated Man told Lisa that he was retired from his job, so she left immediately, but the Illustrated Man halted her and tells Lisa to have a look at his tattoos. After a few seconds, Lisa began to visualize a story.
After finishing the first story, Lisa pointed out another of his tattoos and asked him about the story that accompanied it. The Illustrated Man informed Lisa that it symbolized the brief period during which he was a fan of the band Sublime. He subsequently showed Lisa the tattoo of various gears, which proceeds to another story. After completing another story, Lisa attempts to leave; however, the Illustrated Man informs her to stay for additional story.
After concluding the final story, somehow, Lisa discovered herself in an indistinct void. The Illustrated Man informed Lisa that, having listened to three of his stories, she was given with an eternal reward: to become one of his tattoos. He subsequently told Lisa that she would be able to make friends. Lisa tried to converse with the sun tattoo, which unexpectedly started singing "Santeria" by Sublime.
