He explores through the house, marveling at its luxuriousness. She then asks whether Krusty would be interested in becoming a talk show host himself. Krusty hesitantly agrees to the proposition.
The Simpson family went to Petmaxx to buy dog food. Marge is overwhelmed by the absolute number of brands, and the incessant pestering from her family. A woman would like Marge to come to the meeting room to take the focus group, which Marge agreed and leave Homer and the kids to buy the dog food. The focus group is for Krusty's new talk, which is led by Lindsey Naegle. Naegle is increasingly frustrated with the participants' suggestions until Marge makes a good suggestion. Meanwhile, Homer is frustrated to find the brand of dog food while the kids and Santa's Little Helper are playing. Back to the meeting room, while Marge is making several good suggestions, Lindsey is firing Jerry, the segment producer, and hiring Marge for his replacement. While Marge missed her many text messages, she'll take her job. Outside the building, Jerry warns Marge that daytime television will transform her, presenting a choice between preserving her job or her soul.

Nevertheless, the show soon begins to encroach on Marge's personal time. Marge arrived late to have dinner with Homer at Ruth's Chris's Sal's Bob's Ruth's Steak House and departed early due to a guest cancelled on the show. The following day, Lindsey Naegle checked her ideas and then scrapped all of them, stating that they don't meet the show's standards. During the dinner with the family, Marge is overwhelmed by stress, she begins to hallucinate and dream up ideas for the show. The following day, all the employees are struggling with the strict schedules and requirement to work overtime.
Realizing that Marge no longer enjoys working on the show, her family decides to hold an intervention for her. At home, Marge ignores her family and friends' pleas to quit the show, believing they disapprove of her newfound power and success. Lindsey Naegle texts Marge to tell her to watch a TV program that exposes the toxic work environment behind the scenes of Krusty's show. Marge hurries to head back to the office, where she and her employees are overwhelmed by the workload. Meanwhile, at home, Homer tells Bart that he got addicted but Bart told that mind his own business. Krusty is doing an apology episode to complete his responsibility for all problems. Meanwhile, Marge realizes that she has turned into a monster, inadvertently worsening the situation for her fellow employees. Marge interrupts the apology to inform the audience that Krusty wasn't involved. Krusty receives a phone call while Marge is addressing the audience. After his call ends, Krusty interrupts Marge's speech and tells the audience that he was aware of all the problems. He'll then stop the show forever. Backstage, Krusty reveals to Marge that he received an offer to star as Judge Krusty on a new TV show, which prompted his resignation. Marge quit her job as well as everyone is cleaning up.
Marge got back home; the family is watching the new show from Krusty. Subsequently, Marge receives a phone call from Drew Barrymore, who is seeking ideas for her show. Drew asks Marge if she would like to come over to work, but she rejects, as she wants to take care of her family. Eventfully, Marge will get in touch as she saw the family is in chaos. In the end, at Segments, a mental institution for television workers, Lindsey is seen giving a tour of the premises. However, when a nurse asks about her audience, it becomes apparent that Lindsey is not speaking to anyone and has, in fact, become a patient herself.
