Trivia[]
- This is the last episode to be aired in 2016.
- Sophie Krustofsky plays a major role in this episode since season 12's "Insane Clown Poppy" in this case, for second time. Natasha Lyonne provides the voice for Sophie instead of Drew Barrymore. Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky also makes another appearance when Krusty is dreaming while in the frozen lake.
- Sideshow Bob makes a very brief non-speaking cameo holding up a sign saying: "Die Clown" when Krusty is trapped in the frozen lake.
Goofs[]
- Krusty is Jewish and therefore does not celebrate Christmas however he may not be an Orthodox Jew meaning he celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah.
- In one scene, Sideshow Mel's skin is shown to be a bright yellow, but in the next scene he appears in, his skin is a much lighter shade of yellow.
- As Krusty is drowning, Sideshow Bob holds up a sign that says "Die Clown" even though it has been established in past episodes that they are good friends.
- After Krusty ended up in the hospital, Lisa’s legs aren’t inside her shoes.
- Also, in the same scene, Maggie isn’t with the Simpsons.
- Herman was shown to be missing a left arm rather than a right arm.
Continuity[]
- Sophie Krustofsky returns as a major character in this episode having last play a major role in the "Insane Clown Poppy".
- However, in this episode she voice by Natasha Lyonne rather than Drew Barrymore.
- Homer can seen drinking from a cup with a Grumple on it, which is a reference to "Kill Gil, Volumes I & II".
- Poochie is seen with a halo above his head, which references the fact that he was killed off the The Itchy & Scratchy Show permanently in the episode "The Nightmare After Krustmas".
