Lisa's on a race against time to save Springfield!
Plot[]
In alternate reality, all plants have disappeared, and Lisa, along with other environmentalists, must find a way to cultivate new growth. Since Mr. Burns controls what grows on his property, he steps in and destroys the daisy that has grown on the road where they meet. Due to Lisa's depression, her therapist, Dr. Chaplet took her to Aubrey Medical Plaza. At Aubrey Medical Plaza, Dr. Chaplet suggests that Lisa utilize EMDR stimulators and tappers, causing her mind to travel back to the year 1923.
Lisa, in Edith's body, takes over the passed-out sax player at the Little Moose Club. Their performance is interrupted by someone inviting Monty B. to sing, praising him as youthful and cherished. Outside, she learns that the club's name, "Little Moose Club," comes from the Springfield Mini Moose, which is a target for hunting. When a moose dusts her out, Lisa sneezes and awakens from her dream, returning to the present day. The therapist suggests that Lisa take her tappers home to document what occurs in her dreams.
Upon returning home, Lisa discovers that the place she had dreamed about truly existed and that Edith was her great-grandmother. She proceeds to the location where the club once stood (now Moe's Tavern) and realizes that she had drawn it in the past alongside Mr. Burns. She subsequently went to the laboratory to consult with Professor Frink to ascertain what had occurred. In the video, Lisa learns that mini moose, which was crucial to the ecosystem, went extinct in 1925. While Professor Frink is destroying his stuff, therefore, Lisa must travel back to the year 1923 to save the mini moose. Upon entering 1923, Lisa accidentally runs them over.
She enters the greenhouse to request Burns' assistance with the moose. They are composing a song to save them and persuade people not to harm them but rather create a sanctuary to protect them. However, as everyone sneezes, Lisa returns to the present day. Professor Frink informs Lisa that they went extinct in 1923. Lisa attempts to go back to the past, but Marge and Homer arrive at Professor Frink's laboratory and stop her actions, confiscating her devices. She visits the Van Houten House to see Milhouse in an attempt to acquire more, but her efforts are unsuccessful. Upon returning home, Bart has stolen her tappers from Marge while falling asleep, enabling Lisa to journey back to the past once more.
Lisa instructed the townsfolk to save the mini moose, but they became frightened due to her shouting through a megaphone and proceeded to destroy all of Mr. Burns' Spilotantha Daphne orchidaceous plant in the greenhouse. Mr. Burns plans to pave the town, which will harm the ecosystem. She intended to save the town, but Mr. Burns turned evil. Returning to the present day, Lisa decides to visit the nuclear power plant to speak with Mr. Burns to stop the destruction of the ecosystem, but to no avail. She will use tappers to travel back to the past once more, fully aware of the consequences of her previous attempt.
To exacerbate the situation, Mr. Burns from the present day also utilizes the tappers and persuades his younger self to follow in his footsteps, thereby dooming the town indefinitely. Heading back home, Lisa reads the next message drawn in front of Moe's Tavern from young Burns, which says, "Edith, I left you something in the basement of the joint where we first met." She enters the basement in Moe's where Burns left something. The package contained flower seeds, along with baseball cards that are of significant monetary value. A year later, Lisa plants them to recreate the ecosystem. Mr. Burns is still angry, but expresses gratitude for restoring his mother's flowers.
