The Road to Cincinnati |
|
Trivia[]
- The name of the episode is likely a reference to the Road to... film series starring Bing Crosby and Bob Hope.
- As Gary Chalmers and Seymour Skinner drive to Cincinnati, a restaurant called Steamed Hams can be seen.
- While Chalmers and Skinner had their big fight, The Ballroom Blitz by The Sweet played.
- This is the first time in history where a Simpson is not strangling another Simpson. Instead, as one of the three male college students mourned the car after crashing, Chalmers was strangling him.
- The Simpson family only have two minutes of screen time, and Homer and Marge don't make an appearance until the final scene.
- This episode takes place where the popular meme, Steamed Hams, left off.
Goofs[]
- Superintendent Chalmers says that flying on an airplane makes him nervous, but in the episode “Livin' La Pura Vida”, he had no problem being on an airplane. However, it is likely that he may have taken his anxiety pills in that episode off-screen.
- The sugar cubes change from white to brown in the fight scene.
