Sideshow Mel is destined to be a sidekick according to his father who was a sidekick like many generations of his family. Mel is less than enthused but goes in for an interview with Krusty who is running out of sideshows as Bob, Rahim and Luke Perry are all in jail. If Mel bombs, Krusty might have to use William Shatner instead. Mel takes a pie to the face and correctly times his bicycle horn, making his parents proud and getting the job. The comic is dedicated to many sidekicks like Andy Richter and Kato.
