Stories[]

D'oh, Nuts![]

At Moe's bar, Kent Brockman is on TV, interviewing Frink about his new invention. Frink explains that since roller skating has been a fad among the youth lately, and at the same time, students' grades have been diminishing, he has invented roller skates that send the wearer back in time, allowing them to retake failed tests. Kent, however, believes skateboarding is way more popular than roller skating.

In the bar, Moe, Homer, and Barney are jealous that the smart people come up with all the best ideas and try to come up with a good idea of their own. However, all Barney can come up with is "beer", and the other two think of nothing and exclaim, "D'oh!" (Homer) and "Nuts!" (Moe). This, however, gives Moe the idea of making beer-flavoured donuts and selling them at the bar.

Moe makes Homer and Barney buy the ingredients but tells them to keep the project a secret. After buying the ingredients, Homer, still drunk, accidentally drives through the side of the bar. He and Moe decide to use the hole as a drive-thru window, so they steal the Simpsons' garage door and use it as a door for the hole.

A week later, Moe has started this business, which he calls Drunken Donuts, and is being interviewed on the news. It proves very popular, but puts strain on Krusty Burger and Lard Lad. Lard Lad and Krusty go to Fat Tony for help, but he refuses as he is the supplier for Drunken Donuts.

Then, Krusty and Lard Lad go to the police, hoping to get Drunken Donuts closed down, but the police officers are all drunk on the donuts and are of no use. Thus, they go to Helen Lovejoy, who agrees to help them start a "crusade", and a whole crowd of people pickets Drunken Donuts.

Moe decides to pacify the protesters with free samples, and Krusty and Lard Lad decide the donuts are good after all. Thus, they decide to buy stock in the company. Just then, Duffman and the Blue-Haired Lawyer enter, wanting to sue Moe for using "Get your duff in here" as a slogan. Unfortunately, Moe cannot pay as Homer and Barney spent all the profits on beer, forcing Drunken Donuts to close down after all. Helen feels like Krusty and Lard Lad owe her, so she has people pay to throw pies at them.

A Roaming Holiday[]

The Simpsons are going on vacation for a few weeks, and Marge Simpson is worried that the pets will be lonely, but Homer brushes her off and they leave. The pets wake up from their nap and jump on the trampoline, to the amazement of Rod Flanders and Todd Flanders, while Homer and Bart Simpson fish in Mr. Burns's polluted river (despite the "no fishing" sign).

The Simpsons then watch a cowboy movie and disturb some fruit bats. Back at home, the pets go for a walk and are pelted with rocks by Jimbo Jones, Dolph Starbeam, Kearney Zzyzwicz, and Nelson Muntz. They get revenge on the bullies by spraying them with a hose. Meanwhile, the Simpsons get kicked out of a museum for touching exhibits they are not supposed to.

Snowball II chases rats at the grocery store into a bag held by Santa's Little Helper, and the grocer rewards Santa's Little Helper with sausages and Snowball II with milk. Back at the vacation spot, Homer tries to light a campfire, but accidentally sets the tent on fire. While the Simpsons go to Mt. Rushmore, the pets take a swim in the aquarium, then they sit in a window display for Christmas in July, while the Simpsons accidentally crash into an Amish pie cart.

The pets then eat spaghetti from Luigi Risotto's restaurant, while the Simpsons go to a different restaurant and are then made to do the dishes. The next morning, the pets go to take another nap in the front yard, while Homer gets pulled over by the police for driving through sixteen road signs. By the time it is nighttime, the Simpsons go home and are sulky about their bad vacation. Homer sees the pets and, since they are sleeping in the same positions as they were when the Simpsons left, he mistakenly thinks they didn't move all vacation.

The Riddle of Radioactive Rabbit[]

Bart and Milhouse Van Houten are at The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, where Comic Book Guy shows them a Radioactive Man comic featuring an evil rabbit. The boys aren't interested, thinking it is too old and the rabbit aspect is lame, which offends the Comic Book guy so much that he decides to read it to them on the spot.

The comic begins with Radioactive Man feeling that a new superhero, Radioactive Rabbit, is steeling his thunder. Furthermore, he previously thought that Radioactive Rabbit was merely a TV character. He goes to a place in Africa called "Ape-opolis" in an attempt at getting help with a talking animal from another talking animal.

There, he tells the situation to an ape superhero named Grrk-Grrk, who thinks that Radioactive Man is hallucinating from watching the TV show too often. So, he stops watching the cartoon, and it seems to work over the next few days, but when a dam breaks, Radioactive Rabbit reappears to save the day.

Radioactive Man demands to know who Radioactive Rabbit is and where he's from, but Radioactive Rabbit doesn't comply. Radioactive Man chases and catches Radioactive Rabbit, who explains that he is from a parallel universe in which cartoons are real, turned radioactive after colliding with a radioactive character, and was banished into space for causing accidents. In space, he saw Radioactive Man's TV show, which inspired him to become a superhero, but then he was sucked into a wormhole and was avoiding Radioactive Man because he was shy.

The dam breaks again, so both superheroes fix it, then use junked cars to make a channel to bring the water back over the dam. Then, Radioactive Man introduces Radioactive Rabbit to Grrk-Grrk (aka Radioactive Ape). Back in reality, the boys prefer a different Radioactive Rabbit comic, much to Comic Book Guy's dismay.

Moron Kombat![]

Bart shows off his new video game, King of Violence, to Milhouse and Martin Prince, Jr. at school, but accidentally bumps into Kearney, spilling his drink on him. This makes Kearney angry and he threatens to kill Bart at three o'clock. Milhouse is sure that Bart will get out of it, and Bart initially agrees but grows nervous when all his lessons reference bigger beings defeating or killing smaller beings.

He goes to the library, but the librarian has no self-defense books. He then tries to run away, but Groundskeeper Willie won't let him. As Bart complains that the only fighting skills he knows are in a video game, he discovers that he can do the moves in real life. In fact, he does them on impulse whenever the game commands are said.

At the fight, Bart has Milhouse say the game commands so Bart can fight Kearney. At first, it works, but then Kearney throws Bart to the ground, since the finishing move is physically impossible.

Trivia[]

  • Radioactive Man calling Radioactive Rabbit a "wascally wabbit" is a reference to Looney Tunes.
