The Stockholm Affair is a political thriller film that once screened in Springfield at the Googolplex Theatres.
In one scene, a diplomat warns the president that the Greco-Bolivian alliance may be in jeopardy, to which the President demands a meeting with a character named Jed Colic. Later in the film, a major twist involves a secret code that is the same nursery rhyme a character told his daughter.
Marge and Homer Simpson watched the film, despite Homer's disappointment that his preference Look Who's Oinking was sold out. Homer was left unimpressed by the dull and complicated film. He also complained about the submarine scene's special effects, and loudly spoiled the ending to angry cinemagoers in the lobby.
