Synopsis[]

Homer loses his mind over tipping culture run amok.

Plot[]

In the morning, the family are getting ready to leave for the full day of a doctor's visit in the boring day. Lisa watches “Mom-and-Dad in car Bait-and-Switch” video where their parents tell kids in the car to go to fun places on trend social media as Bart pointed out. Bart and Lisa realize that it's not Krustyland, it's Springfield Medical Plaza for check-up and there was no bait-and-switch. After the check-up is complete, Lisa asks Homer if he must take at least for treat for them.

In the Boba Fete Tea Shop, Homer buys some tea for Lisa, but Squeaky-Voiced Teen asks for tip on his purchase, so Homer reluctantly does. Same in the other shops, he then gets exhausted, but he cheers up and the family will go to the Springfield Pub & Brewery to eat. Later, they charge for the service fee and there's tip on pre-thanks. Homer clicks and chooses to give only $1, writing "$1 OK" on a bill that indicates a $10,000 tip. Sandee mistakes this for a $10,000 tip while Marge clarifies she does not have $10,000. The other shop owner confronts Homer after he tears off the bill. In his imagination, he underlined the tip on the bill.

At home, Marge points out that the event went viral, and they are going to be in debt for the rest of their lives. Homer decides to go back to the pub to fix it, but his popularity declines. Subsequently, Homer overpays to buy a newspaper and goes on a tipping spree. Back home, Marge received overdraft alerts due to overpaying tips, and he will stop doing so now. In the bar, Homer gives the exact change and gives the tip to Moe, and he rushes for his tip before the stores close down. He tries to give their tip, but all stores are closed. Things get worse when Homer gets home, many of his past bills are due, and they all break down as he is watching hopelessly. Homer decides to visit Sandee at her houseboat and ask her to reduce the tip, but unfortunately, she sprays pepper spray at him and sends him underwater which causes him to drown.

The next morning, Homer wakes up at Little Europe where Fausto had saved him. Meanwhile, at home, Marge is looking for Homer, and Patty and Selma suggest creating a dating profile on Tender. Bart figures out where Homer is and orders some items from Amazon. In Little Europe, Bart and Lisa find Homer and tell him to return home to Springfield due to the chaos there. Homer starts singing the Little Europe song. After his song ends, he goes back to Springfield to address the situation.

At the SAG award show, Homer tried to convince all the waiters and waitress to forgo of accepting tips and instead just get their normal wages, which seems to have gotten the attention of everyone and everybody started to celebrate. However, it turns out it was all in Homer's head and when he suggested it, everyone hated the idea and started to gang up on Homer and beat him up.

Realizing that his message didn't help at all, Marge came up with an idea that not only will help the family out of debt but also help Homer quit his addiction; By working as a waiter and using the tips to settle their debts.
