- The episode title is a pun on the legend of the Wandering Jew.
- While Bart is collecting the ill begotten wedding gifts, he remarks that this prank is his "Sgt. Peppers." This is a reference to The Beatles' 7th studio album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, widely regarded as The Beatles' best album and frequently topping "Best Album of All Time" lists.
- The song playing during the prison dance is "Colour My World" by Chicago.
- When Gina tells Bart that her crime was pushing Snow White off a parapet at Disneyland, she shows him a newspaper clipping with the headline "It's a Fall World", a pun on the Disney song "It's a Small World."
