  • This episode is dedicated to Kevin Curran, a writer who passed away on October 25, 2016, a few days before this episode aired.
  • Kirk mentions the band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy before Homer entered the van.
  • During the trip, they are listening to the song "You And Me And The Bottle Makes Three Tonight" by Straight No Chaser.
  • During the song, Kirk messages Homer saying that he has watched The Godfather and completed Halo. He also says "designing the world's best Blues Brothers fanpage" while dressed as the main characters of the film.
