  • Hello,

It's Solar Dragon from Wikisimpsons. Tina.g.sherwin has been stealing our content. I have removed much of it and added delete templates, but there is probably more. Could you do something about this and make sure she doesn't steal our content again? Thank you

    • In fact, just about every article this user has made is stolen from us. Can you go through and delete them please?

        Loading editor
    • I will talk with her. If you are no longer going to use the account you specifically set up for passing messages like this, you need to have it closed.

    • RRabbit, I deleted some of the content. Hopefully everyone will be cool about it. I don't know if that was the right move, but hopefully it will keep certain people off our backs.

    • I have too many Wikia accounts. I can't remember passwords and usernames etc. The right move would have been to either delete the content, or have "This content is from Wikisimpsons" and link to the article on the top of each page, where it's obvious. Therefore, it's in your best interest to delete or completely rewrite the articles.

    • Whilst I'm too busy right now to compile a list of articles that have been stolen from us, I've asked other users on Wikisimpsons who brought this issue to my attention if they would compile a list of the articles for me. I'll pass this list onto you afterwards and you can take it from there.

And yes, whilst it's a scare tactic of threatening to take users to court, you need to do something more about this issue. If I notice any users on Wikisimpsons stealing content from here, I will take immediate action with removing the content and warning the user(s). I would appreciate it if you would do the same.

    • Also Solar Dragon I will stop

    • Thank you, Tina.

Also, it has been brought to my attention that most, if not all, of the articles by Terry12fins24 were stolen from Wikisimpsons too. We're working on adding them to the list.

    • Callum, if you had tried talking to us the way you did in your message an hour ago, we would have been more receptive to what you are saying. But since your usual behavior to to make a threat or an implied threat, that does not encourage any sort of cooperation from this wiki.

    • Yeah, I know. I just got annoyed and stressed about the whole issue and overreacted. Sorry, I've been going through a few personal things recently too and decided to go semi-active on Wikisimpsons, only to be dragged into this the next day. I'll admit when I'm in the wrong.

That user is inactive since August, but we will deal with that.

    • Yeah, I know he's inactive, The articles he stole are still around though, which is the issue.

    • Okay, I have been given a small list:

Could you sort these out please? If there's any more, I'll bring them to your attention.

      Thanks!

    • I Didn't copy The Ancient Mystic Society of No Homers

    • I know you didn't. These are articles that another use copied.

You're making a fuss over articles/photos being stolen, yet you stole a lot of articles from this site and created WikiSimpsons with it.

On top of that, you vandalized this site too and for what? Over the fact you didn't like Wikia's change? Cry me a river!

That's called adapting. I find it humorous that you come back here and start ordering users around like you own the place again.

I want you Solar Dragon to think about your actions in the past, because they were inexcusable to say the least. The past isn't at rest, it's still around, just buried.

      I agree completely.

Yes, there is a wiki-wide ban on plagiarism, but if you're going to make a fuss about a user stealing images and articles, when you yourself have done the exact same thing, it just comes off as incredibly hypocritcial. Yes, plagiarism isn't okay, but all we're saying is that you don't really have much right to say that, when past plagiarism has benefited your wiki.

    • Hey, we never did that. We took the content that WE created and moved about with it. We were perfectly within our rights to do that. Then, users who never worked on the content moved in and claimed it to be their own. Then, users here steal the content that WE created later, and claim it as their own.

If you wrote a book, and then someone else took it, published it, and claimed to be the writer of it, how would you like that? Same principal here. We made the content, worked on it for a few years, the entire active community then moved out, taking the content we created with us. And Wikia refused to delete it.

It wasn't plaigarism. We were pefectly within our rights, and we took the full article history too, crediting the individual contributors. Well within the copyright law.

And, the fact it, many of the articles we moved with have been vastly changed since then, making them different from the ones here.

And, you don't know the full history. It wasn't just about the skin change. Staff butted in to our conversations, "closed" active discussions, removed admin rights without asking the community, blocked contributors for disagreeing with them. We left because staff were tyrants, only caring about the amount of money they got from ads.

You're not fooling me and everyone on this site, pal. I've been around too long on Wikia to know when someone is lying to me and that "innocent" act isn't working either.

That was your first mistake today, lying to me. I saw the evidence, which is still on this site. Was all this drama really worth it?

Also, all of our content here have since improved as well, with the hard work from every single user on here.
