- The episode was originally going to be titled "The Voice Actor's Apprentice", but was likely changed possibly due to it breaking the fourth wall.
- Bart is mocked for playing a princess in the cereal commercial; however, males have played female roles on shows and females have played males roles as well. Coincidentally, Bart's voice actor, Nancy Cartwright, is female, yet she voices a male character.
- A toy bunny is in Skinner's toys cart, while in the crowd of Comicalooza, there are two people with bunny ear headbands, with one of the bands only having one ear, both are reference to Life in Hell.
- Unlike most (canon) episodes, this episode has three plots.
