Tom Gammel is a boy who had to miss the Little League in order to go to Mr. Burns' company picnic and accidentally gets his father fired by Mr. Burns from the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. However, he was later seen with his father, who still works for Burns, attending the plant get-together at the Springfield War Memorial Stadium.
