Tom Petty was an American musician, singer and actor.

History

He worked at the The Rolling Stones Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp, along with other artists, teaching others how to be rock stars. After the camp is over, Homer becomes so disappointed that the artists decide to take him to one of their shows so he could help them. However, after Homer learned that he was only there to test the microphone instead of performing with them, he decides to steal their show, so Tom, along with other artists, decide to chase Homer down in their vehicle.

Following Tom Petty's death on October 2, 2017, the episode Springfield Splendor has a memorial in the credits, showing a clip from Tom's previous appearance.
