Thomas "Tom" Poston (October 17, 1921 – April 30, 2007) was an American actor and comedian. He voiced the Capital City Goofball in "Dancin' Homer." In a long career, Poston was known for his roles in many sitcoms, primarily as George Utley in Newhart from 1982 to 1990 for which he received several Emmy nominations, as well as roles in Grace Under Fire and an Emmy nominated appearance in Coach.
