- This marks the first time since Treehouse Horror IX, that Matt Groening's scary name, Rat Groening, is used.
- In addition, it is also the first time that Matt Groening's scary name is changed, and isn’t Bat Groening like it normally is, since Treehouse of Horror XIV.
- Dan Castellaneta's Halloween name is "All work and no play makes Dan a dull boy", a reference of The Shining. It was also written in the Courier New font.
- "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" is Animation Producer Tom Klein's Halloween name.
