Lisa recounts her appearance on a children's game show, a parody of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. She recalls trying to get Homer to notice her schoolwork but he rather watch bowling on TV, Bart mocks her and she seems like she can't catch a break. Lisa the next day catches a cold and somehow decides to get on the kids quiz show lamenting that questions like "who's your favourite wrestler?" and "What's your favourite Pat Boone song?" eliminate girls and minorities. But Lisa does well enough, flu and all, to go on the main show.
Lisa is pitted against Ralph, martin and Nelson and does well even getting a question right about the Three Stooges (thanks to recalling Bart liking that show). Under the influence of a Dr Nick flu remedy, Lisa answers MANY questions right to aggravate Kent Brockman who needs those quarters for laundry and will not allow her to win. The final question is who created Moo Goo Gai Pan and Lisa's cold makes her say Ah Choo. It is right and Lisa is happy that her cold is smarter than her, making Bart upset. She decides to use the pocketful of quarters to buy Homer donuts.
