Willie Nelson is an American country singer-songwriter, author, poet, actor and activist. He has spent some time in Springfield; in fact, he used to own a house there.

History

Willie Nelson and Dr. Hibbert have been close friends since college. Hibbert asked Willie to perform a "Phony Awards" show to reconcile the Simpsons. The Simpsons all accepted Willie's efforts on their behalf because they couldn't say no to him. Nelson has a comb machine in his house, which often jams when making a hairstyle for him.

Nelson's house was turned into Krusty's Clown College, as revealed by the billboard at the entrance that reads "Formerly Willie Nelson's house."
