“ | You know, my great-great grandmother was an Indian. I guess I should've mentioned that before, huh? | „ |
~ Homer Simpson[src] |
Winifred Simpson, neé Running Goat married Rupert Simpson and they had five children: Garwood, Ivy, Galston, Prudence, and Trixie. She was the daughter of Mary Frowning Cloud and Joe Puffing Goat. Her brother was Humphrey Little Goat and her sister was Jane Nervous Goat. She was a Native American.
She's the great great grandmother of Orville Simpson and fourth grandmother from Abraham Simpson II. She was mentioned as Homer's great-great-grandmother in "Little Big Girl", despite Winifred's granddaughter-in-law, Gabby Crouse, taking that place in the family tree featured in The Simpsons Uncensored Family Album.
When Lisa decides to makes up having Native American heritage, she says, "My great-great-great... great... great-grandmother was a Native American... She was a member of the... Hitachee tribe." Winifred Running Goat as her 5th-great grandmother which is the actual correct position of where she is supposed to be, this is most likely a coincidence made by Lisa. ("Little Big Girl")
She is possibly mentioned one more time, of if she really is the 2nd great grandmother to Homer, meaning that she helped her supposed Husband to make a subsitute for Holy Water, until they made the final result a sex tonic, its unclear if she truly is the wife of Abraham or if Gabby was.
