World War II (WWII or WW2) or the Second World War was a global conflict that lasted from 1939-1945. Abraham Simpson fought during the war, along with Charles Montgomery Burns.
History[]
World War II was a major conflict which lasted from 1939 - 1945. WWII was between the Axis and the Allies, The Axis consisting mainly of Nazi Germany (led by Adolf Hitler), Japan (led by Hirohito), and Fascist Italy (led by Benito Mussolini) and the Allies consisting mainly of the former Soviet Union, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. A unit of the American army was the Flying Hellfish In which Abraham Simpson more commonly known as Grandpa, or Grandpa Simpson, was Sergeant. Grandpa Simpson also fought with Sheldon Skinner, Iggy Wiggum, Arnie gumble, Griff McDonald, Asa Phelps, Etch Westgrin, Montgomery burns and Milton haas.
Abraham Simpson's Stories[]
Abraham Simpson has told many stories about the war. He once went to England where he met a girl named Edwina and had a child by her (although he didn't know until many years later)[1]. He also once rode a shark[2]. As well as that, he was a land mine detector and accidentally drove some trucks off a cliff[3].

In "Lisa's Wedding", when Hugh goes to Moe's Tavern where Moe mentions that America saved England during World War II. Hugh replies saying England saved America during World War III to which Moe replies "that's true".
